My Favourite Nude Lipstick

Hello!!

So today I thought I would put a post together of my favourite nude lipstick/liquid lipsticks as these are my must and i'm reaching for these as my "go to". I sometimes get asked what I'm wearing on my lips.

Favourite Nude Lipsticks

Favourite Nude Lipsticks
From Left to Right
Laura Mercier in spiced rose
Gosh in the colour sweetheart
Loreal in the colour Julianne's Nude
NYX liquid lipstick in the colour Tres Leches
Maybelline in the colour 620 into the nude

Laura Mercier- this is the first item I have bought from their makeup and I must say I am very impressed. This shade is like a warm nude (probably doesn't count as a nude but ah well). It is very easy wearing and feels lovely on the lips.

Gosh- Once again I have never really used this brand before, apart from their primer which you can find my review on that  here. This is more of a browny nude, it is really pigmented and very easy wearing.

Loreal- I believe there was like a celebrity range where everyone released their shade of nude/reds etc (I may be wrong) So I love this shade as it is such a nice pale pink. It has a little bit of shimmer in it but nothing over powering.

NYX Liquid Lipsticks- I feel like these are talked about EVERYWHERE at the moment, and I can see why. They are so pigmented and lovely, not like a sticky lip gloss. Once it has set, it is the definition of the perfect nude.

Maybelline 24hr Superstay Lipstick- This is the product I reached for everyday. It last forever (well duh clues in the name). You apply the lip gloss section bit, then put the like setter on afterwards (haha I have explained that so well). This is a really natural colour and feels lovely on the lips.

These are by far are my favourite. I just feel like nude lipsticks/lip glosses can be paired with everything, whether you want a everyday look or want it to be more going out by wearing a smokey eye look.

Do you like nude lipsticks? Do you like any of these brands?
Lots of love,
Nicole xx

My Summer Wishlist

Hello!!

So today I thought I would put together my summer Wishlist of everything I'm lusting over at the moment. However payday seems so far away :(

Untitled #1

Firstly, the floral dress is the perfect summer day/night dress. With the style it is, it is easy to dress it up and dress it down. This dress is from Boohoo which is priced at £18.99 which is very reasonable and i'm sure I would get a lot of wear out of it also.

Next is the Pandora necklace, this has been on my wishlist foreever!!! This summer this is a definite buy! It is so classy and would go with everything. This is priced at £87.

I chose these sandles as I thought they looked so sweet. They are from John Lewis but made my Dune. I love Dune shoes as they last for ages! These are priced at £55 but so worth it for a good pair of shoes in my eyes.

Obviously I had to put a jacket on my wishlist, as being in England the weather is so temperamental. You need a good lightweight jacket just to be able to throw on top of an outfit. This is from Dorothy Perkins and priced at £43.

Lastly is the OPI Nail Polish, I love Pink colours, you can read about my favourite pinks here. OPI nail polishes are quite pricey but very good quality.

What items are on your summer wishlist? Do you like the items I have picked here?

Lots of love,
Nicole xx

The Perfect Pinks

Hello!!

So as we are going into Summer and the sun has finally come out hurrah (fingers crossed it stays) I have been loving my pink colours as they are so bright and cheery. So I thought I would put together My Perfect Pinks.

Sleek Blush in the shade Pixie Pink. I love love love sleek beauty products. I don't think I've tried a bad one yet. I never used to wear blushes as I normally have really rosey cheeks. However wearing a higher coverage foundation takes the colour out my cheeks. This colour is so vibrant and gives that pop of colour. Little note you don’t need much of this product to be able to see it!
Excuse my no facial expression, but what the MAC pink shade looks like on.

What I Plan on doing this Summer

Hello!!
I was recently inspired by Eventbrite's GOMO (going out more often) campaign to put a blog post together of all the fun things I am doing in summer and ways I’m going out more rather than staying in watching Netflix. Event Brite is the  largest self-service ticketing platform in the world that helps people find and plan events. If you want to host your own summer event Eventbrite has tons of tools to help you sell tickets and track attendance, so you have the chance to be able to host your own events.. how cool is that!! I love looking at time Hop each day and being oh yeah that was such a great day, or I had so much fun etc so I determined to make this summer one of the best!
When it’s a lovely sunny day, there is nothing more than I love than hiring rowing boats in Knaresborough and going up and down the river there, it’s so relaxing until your arms start aching (then that’s your que to pass the rowing over to your friend).
Last year I did a colour run (you don’t even have to run.. I didn’t) and it was so much fun and wouldn’t definitely recommend doing it. And you are also raising money for charity.  This year I would love to take part in the Pretty Mudder as that looks so enjoyable.
I have taken this picture off Google, however you can see how colourful and messy it is.
I love going to festivals and I have been to Leeds Fest two years and was desperate to go to V Fest as the line-up looks amazing. As you can see from the picture below, that my smile never left my face that weekend although it was incredibly muddy.

Lastly I love holidays and it is definitely what I save my money for. So I have booked a trip to Australia and Bali and I have recently come back from Barcelona. You can read about my time here. I would love to do a spontaneous weekend camping trip, chose a camp site and pitch a tent with some of your friends. Low cost and so much fun.
What are you doing this summer? Have you ever done a colour run, or been to any festivals?

Lots of love,
Nicole xxx

NYX Contour Palette

Hello!!

So you know how contouring is all about at the moment and there are all these products that based specifically for contouring. So when I saw the NYX range in boots (it looks amazing, I had to try it out) so I purchased the NYX contour palette and their NO 5 brush as it was recommended to go with it. So here is what I thought of it.

NYX contour palette

Far left is Tan
Middle left its Toffee
Middle right its Sculpt
Right is Hollow
As you can see from the swatches, that there difference colour wise between Tan and Toffee. They are my favourite colours as I think they look the most natural colours. Sculpt is very pale and for a dark palette I was quite surprised. Anyway you can always build the colour up.

Left is Ice Queen
Middle left is Soft Light
Middle Right is Cream
Right is Nectar

First of all, how gorgeous is the Ice Queen shade. It is so pigmented and just amazing. I would say Soft Light and Cream shades are quite bland and don't give the highlight you want. But Ice Queen definitely makes up for that. Lastly I would say the Nectar colour is almost like a blush, it has a orangey tone which makes it nice and bright.

The NYX contour palette is priced at £18 which is worth it for a nice variety of shades, even if I only use three overall.

The highlighting colours were lovely!!! Do you like NYX products? Have you tried their contour palette?

 Lots of love, Nicole
