Whats In My Clutch

Whats in my clutch

My clutch is normally full of tat, as after a night out I can never be bothered to clear it out. So I am always left with everything, from eyelashes to a chip from McDonald's (gross). However just for this post, I have cleared it out for you and you can see what I take in my clutch.

Concealer - this is always a must in my clutch, as mascara 9 times out of ten makes it on my face, so this is always my quick fix to try cover it.

Bronzer and a brush of course. Right I should not take this with me, as normally in bars etc the lighting is terrible so my bronzer turns into me looking like a satsuma.. ah well least its there for emergencies

A little sample of perfume . I never trust myself to take a nice full size perfume out, so these samples come in handy. I got lots of samples from Feel Unique pick and mix box which you can read my review here.

Lastly a good old lippy, you can't have your lippy wearing off half way through the night.. you can read about my favourite nude lipsticks here.

So this is my currently clutch i keep using, even know its meant to be a makeup bag (who can seriously fit all their makeup in there?!).

What do you carry in your clutch? Do you take some of the stuff mentioned above?

Lots of love,
Nicole

Mothers Day Gift Guide

Ah Mothers day is quickly approaching, and I know my Mum says every year that she doesn't want any presents or gifts, I always think its nice to be able to hand something to her and just make her feel special. So I buy flowers every year its just makes the house look lovely. However this year I thought it would be nice to get her something different instead. So here is my Mothers Day gift guide.

Lovely smelling candles , candles are always a win with me. And Mum's love candles (well I am assuming that). I love this scent, it just so fresh and it is really a great scent for Spring.

Mothers day gift guide

Daisy Perfume I have featured this specific perfume as it is my current favourite. I mentioned this perfume briefly in my haul which you can read here But treat your mum to her favourite scent. With perfume being quite pricey, it is always lovely to receive it as a present.

Mothers day gift guide

Diffusers , I am sucker for these. So I thought set looked lovely and the packaging made it look expensive. Really resisting keeping these!!!

Mothers day gift guide

Other ideas that I haven't photographed
  • Books
  • Vouchers
  • Chocolate
  • Flowers
  • Massage/ Beauty Voucher
  • Just a home cooked meal - this would mean a lot more than any expensive gifts!!

Do you like my gift ideas that I have mentioned? What are you getting your mum for Mothers day?

Lots of love,
Nicole

What i have been loving on netflix

I am loving Netflix at the moment, there is so many programmes that I keep adding to my list, but I never seem to have enough time to watch them all! I love them series where you literally would get up an hour earlier on a morning just to watch one more episode.
Although, the nights are getting a little lighter, it is still dark by half 6 (cry). So I love nothing better than to get into my comfies on a night and dive into a series.

My favourite netflix series
Image not mine

1. Riverdale
Right, I have only watched three episodes  so far, but I feel like this is going to be my new addiction with Pretty Little Liars officially ending soon, cry! However, I hate having to wait to watch a new episode each week, so I’m currently saving them up so Ill has a good binge of it.
2. Shooter
I was literally addicted to this series. I spent ages just trying to find a series both Jack and I would like. So this is so similar to the film, but better. It’s so in-depth, and with their only being 10 episodes. It’s a perfect lazy Sunday kind of binge series.
3. OJ V the people
Anything like this, I weirdly enjoy? Like it actually, as it is one of them series you have to have your full attention to it, otherwise you miss important parts of it. I have my opinion on whether he is guilty or not before watching it, so I’m curious if it will change my opinion, the more I watch.
4. Stranger Things
Now this was a very weird but good TV series! Just be very open minded when watching it, as it is weird but oh my I can’t watch for season two.
5. Prison Break
I’m about to say a very bold comment, but I think this has to be my favourite TV series of all time. It was incredible. I remember any free time I had, I was watching this. I got all the episodes watched in a silly amount of time... it was safe to say I was addicted.

What do you love on Netflix? Have you watched any mentioned above?

Lots of love,

Nicole xx

Girls Night In

I have always been one to prefer a cosy night in than go out. Although random night out is always fun! So I thought I would do a post on my ultimate girls’ night in. Lots of food, trashy TV and films.  However I am trying to eat a lot better recently so this can be my cheat day!

Tanya Burr chocolate cookies

So I finally feel like this is my signature dish now, I follow Tanya Burr double chocolate cookie recipe, the full recipe can find here. They are so gooey and delicious, they taste better than the ones you buy from the shops!! The bad thing is, once you have one, you want more oops!

Strawberries and marshmallows skewers

Strawberries and marshmallows skewers.  Ah heaven on a stick, literally! I felt having strawberries and marshmallows both on a stick kind of balanced each other out?

So sadly I didn't photograph this, but I made my own Katsu Curry!! It tastes just as good as the Wagamamas ones, just without the massive amount of calories, win win scenario.

A girls night wouldn't be a girls night without movies and  trashy TV. I have been addicted to Ex on the beach (my guilty pleasure) such easy watching. However I love nothing better than a good chick flick… clueless, the other woman, sex in the city and the list goes on.

What makes a good girls night in for you? Do you like what I have mentioned?

Lots of love,
Nicole xxx

Choosing the right foundation

So foundations is always a tricky thing to buy. Not like eye shadow or mascara where you don't have to worry if the shade is right. Actually getting the perfect shade of foundation is tricky and definitely something I still struggle with now. Especially if you are ordering the foundation online.. i bought a shade 10x to dark for me oops!

Choosing the right foundations

The perks of buying a high end foundation, is usually you will get the colour tested so it is literally perfect for your skin tone. Even better so, most the time you get a little sample pot to try the foundation, before parting with £30 plus pounds on something you don't like.

  • Don't be afraid to ask for a sample! I did this for ages, but at least if you try a sample you can see if you like it or not. If its drug store, then see if you can get a sample whether its from Feel unique pick and mix which you can read my review here. I got a tester pot of Estee Lauder Double Wear before buying it. Turns out I loved it anyway, but least I was sure before parting with my money. So this foundation is my favourite high end one, it just find the coverage is perfect for me and it is so wearable.
  •  Bourjois Healthy Mix  I tried a little sachet of this before. I must admit, the sachet barely covered my face so it was tricky to work out if i like it or not. Luckily I did. This and L'Oreal True match are my two favourite drug store foundations. However I must admit the Bourjois foundation is a little bit light for me. Ah well nothing bronzer can't solved!!
  • Read reviews before you buy the foundation!! Find out if its good for dry/oily skin and see if its the kind of coverage you want. If you don't want to trail through reviews, then usually under the product, people have already rated and reviewed them.

Whats your favourite foundations? Have you try any mentioned above?

Lots of love,
Nicole xx

My Favourite Loreal Products

Loreal focus

If someone was to ask me what my all time favourite makeup brand, I would have to say I always go back to L'Oreal. I don’t believe I have had a bad product yet from them, which makes them my saviours and go to brand. So I thought I would do a post on my favourites products from L'Oreal.

These days you can get all sorts of eye shadow palettes on the market, some very high end ie Too Faced or Naked Palettes or Makeup geek eye shadows which you can see my post about them hereOr drug store like Ted Baker palette which you can read my review about them here and even W7 makeup. However not all the time but most I find the cheaper palettes have a lot of fall out and aren't that pigmented. BUT, this is very reasonably priced and the quality of it, is spot on.

Now this concealer I love.. I find you get some concealers that just look really cakey under your eyes, but this one looks lovely. Non of that cakey business.

Aaah my holy grail foundation!!! I just love love love this foundation (can you tell i love it) There is so many different shades now, this is always and I think will be my go to foundation. Its such a build able foundation which is fab for every occasion.

Loreal true match

This is in the shade Julianne Nude. I wrote about my favourite nude lipsticks including this one which you can read here. I just love this particular lipstick as it is so moisturising on the lipsticks and really is the perfect shade for every day wear.

Do you like L'Oreal products? Have you tried any mentioned above?

Lots of love,
Nicole xxx

February Favourites

February Favourites
Its the end of Feb already.. whaat. Like we have had pancake day and valentine day already. One thing that means is.. its nearly easter egg time woo!! Quite scary really. Anyway it feels like ages since I did my last favourite post. I did my 2016 favourites which you can watch here. So yeah here goes for what I have been loving in February. I have been changing up my perfumes really, as I love  having different scents. So this month I have been loving  Modern Muse, it is nothing like my usual scents I go with, this is quite strong but nice. Maybelline lash sensational, I think will make it onto my 2017 favourites, its literally incredible. One good but bad thing also, it stays on your lashes that well, its a challenge to try remove it at the end of the day. Rimmel Provocalips is very similar to Maybelline super stay, it sticks on yours lips and lasts all day, woopppie. I don't know if anyone else has ever struggled with putting false lashes on, but in the past I use to find them a impossible task! However I am loving these Eylure lashes, they are curved so they fit perfectly onto your eye.

What have you been loving this month? Do you like some of these products I have mentioned?

Lots of love,
Nicole xx
