My Favourite Spring coloured Nail Polishes

Hello!!

So I thought I would put together my favourite spring nail polishes that help brighten up these miserable April Showers.
I must admit my all-time favourite nail polish brand is Barry M as I find I can never fault any of their colours and the price is always so affordable to. So obviously their nail polish made it on my spring favourite colours.

Left is Too cool to tango by Rimmel (how cool is that name?!
Middle is Green Fizz by Bourjois
Right is Blueberry from the Barry M  gelly range.

So do you like any of these colours, do you like these brands?

What to Splurge on..

Hello!!

I love saving money on this whenever possible and love buying stuff off the high street, but there is some stuff that is worth splurging for...

Image not mine

Foundation- for so so many year I have always used a drug store foundation and they have been lovely to use. But it wasn't till this year where I just thought what the heck and spent money on a high end foundation (Estee Lauder double wear foundation). And I can definitely tell the difference. Not just because of the product but also finding a shade that perfectly matches my skin tone.. woo no more orange face days.

A bed- it wasn't until I moved into my first own house, that I appreciated a good bed. I have never slept better.

Handbag- I must admit I haven't splurge on handbag YET..I went to Thailand last year and picked up a fake mulberry bag and it just isn't the same as a real one. But if you think about it, you use your handbag every day and they are the perfect accessory.

A Little Black Dress- this dress will never date and will always be there for the emergency I have nothing to wear tonight panics.

What do you like to splurge on, do you agree with what I have mention?

Lots of love,
Nicole

How I Bought my First Home

Hello

I have done a bit more of a personal post today. In November, my boyfriend and I got the keys to our first house. So very exciting.  Normally after sixth form some people go to uni and then normally move into halls then get their independence. However with me not going to uni I didn't get that opportunity straight away.

I started working part time from the age of 14 with a paper round to working as a waitress to then working in a cafe. And I would say I have always been a saver. I always like putting money into my premium bonds as it was hard to then withdraw and due to that I have benefited. Also any birthday or Christmas money I got I saved as well. After I finished my A-levels I pretty much went straight into full time work where I saved 1/2 of my wage.

When buying your house, you normally need a largish deposit(around a minimum of 10%)  for the bank to want to lend the money to you without thinking its a risk. Which is why saving from a young age instead of spending it on rubbish when you were younger (I have wasted some money before). Obviously with my Boyfriend and I going for the mortgage together we had more capital and they had two wages to lend against (they normally lend 4 time your salary) which was beneficial.

Unfortunately when we came to buying our first home, the government help to buy ISA wasn't really around. This is a fantastic way of helping you towards your first home . I have inserted a quotation of what it does from the help to buy website.  'The government has created the Help to Buy scheme to help hard-working people like you take steps to buy your own home. The new Help to Buy: ISA pays first-time buyers a government bonus. For example, save £200 a month and we’ll add £50, up to a maximum of £3,000, boosting your ISA savings of £12,000 to £15,000.'

They do say that buying your first home is the biggest financial commitment you will ever make, however its the most wise one. Houses normally increase there equity and when you come to sell it, you will have made money, unless its in the recession again.

Finally after all that waffle, it is nice to have your own space to do whatever you want. Buy whatever food you want, decorate it how you want etc. Even if I do get nagged at by my boyfriend.

Thought I would attached a picture of our kitchen as it is the only room that is completed.

So I hope you guys have found this helpful, any question feel free to ask.

Lots of love,

My Favourite Primers

Hello!!

I love primers that actually can keep your makeup in place, instead of getting to 3pm in the afternoon and you just looking like your not wearing makeup.. or in my case, my makeup going patchy. With working in a office, I always lean on my hand or touch my face which obviously doesn't help with keeping makeup on.
However I have put a list together of my favourite primers that work for me.

My Favourite Primers
The first one is Nivea post shave balm. This cost around £2.50- £4 mark depending where you buy it from.  However personally I think it’s the best for keeping your foundation on, as it goes really tacky so your foundation just sticks to it.  (Even Kylie Jenner uses it!!!!) This one is my favourite!!
Mac Prime and Prep - This cost around £21 pounds and is also very good.
Maybelline baby skin- When you put this primer on, it does actually make you skin so so soft and like baby skin (clue in the name haha). It also help reduces pores and it is priced at £7.99
Gosh prime and set- I think this is one of the first product I have bought from this brand, and I was quietly surprised with how good it was. I already have dry skin so I assume using a powder to set makeup would have just dry my skin out even more, but no. It also comes in handy when you forget your powder when you go away. It costs £9.99 at superdrug.

I would definitely say these primers work for me! What’s your favourite primers? Do you like any of these?

ASOS Haul

Hello!!

This post is the reason why I shouldn't bring my purse with me to work.
On my lunch break on Friday, I started having a look on ASOS. Then my basket had some how reached £60. (Well I obviously knew how it got to £60 anyway). So I thought I would show you what I’ve ordered. And at least if I do a blog post about it, I won’t feel as guilty about spending when I really should be saving. Anyway ramble over.

Asos Haul
The moment of happiness when you see this arrive!

I love the fact that ASOS sells beauty products, it makes it so convenient specially when its next day delivery. (Sign up for ASOS premier, its fab).
Left is Spice Cake from the NYX Butter Gloss range
Middle is Tres Leches from the same range
Right is Dahlia from Revlon Ultra HD range
I normally am not a massive fan of lip gloss however  I have heard so many things about the NYX range, I had to try it out! Moving off beauty products now, I bought two bags. Who can ever have too many bags.
A little over the shoulder bag.

A biggish tan bag that's perfect to go shopping/work in.
So as you can see I had a little spend. I love both of them and will definitely be taking the black over the shoulder bag with me to Barcelona as I would safe it is pretty safe.

Do you like ASOS? Do you like NYX lip glosses.

Lots of love,
Nicole xx
